Conference Days

The Clarendon Centre

WordCamp Brighton will be hosted at the Clarendon Centre on the 16th and 17th of August – we can’t wait to see you there! 🤩

Getting to the Clarendon Centre

Brighton Railway Station is 0.3 miles away from the Clarendon Centre, which is around a 6 minute walk. A taxi ride from the station is likely to take a little longer at around 10 minutes due to traffic in the area.

London Road Brighton Station is slightly further away from the Clarendon Centre (0.5 miles). It’ll take 10 minutes to walk from here, but only 5 minutes by taxi.

If you’re heading to WordCamp Brighton by car, you unfortunately won’t be able to park on-site. There is on-street meter parking outside of the venue, and the London Road multi-storey car park is only a 3 minute walk away.

After Party (Saturday evening)

OhSo Social – 7pm onwards

After the conference ends on Saturday, we’ll all be heading down to OhSo Social for the after party at around 7pm (til late).

Getting to OhSo Social

OhSo Social is a bar that’s located on the seafront, very close to Brighton Palace Pier, and is a 20 minute walk (1.1 miles) from the Clarendon Centre.

If you’d prefer to take a taxi, it’ll take 5 – 10 minutes (dependent on traffic) to get there.

Getting to The Skiff

If you’re travelling into Brighton by train, The Skiff is only 0.2 miles (a 5 minute walk) from Brighton Railway Station. Please note – the main entrance is located on Blackman Street. A taxi from Brighton Station will take 6 -8 minutes, depending on traffic.

Parking is incredibly limited (and expensive!) in Brighton, but there are several car parks nearby.

Accommodation

There are a variety of different accommodation options available in Brighton and the surrounding areas.

The city of Brighton & Hove is very easy to get around – either on foot, bike, by bus, or in a taxi.

If you opt to stay outside of the city in neighbouring towns (such as Portslade, Patcham, Lewes, Worthing, and Eastbourne), you can easily get into Brighton by train, taxi, or bus.

We recommend checking out Airbnb for places to stay. There are reasonably priced places on Airbnb in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding areas mentioned above. As the conference approaches, hotels in central Brighton become increasingly expensive, so it’s best to book as early as you can. If you’re searching for a hotel, check out Booking.com for lots of options in central Brighton and nearby.

WordCamp Brighton will be a safe and positive conference for everyone. Learn more about our code of conduct.
